1ST PRIZE "WEIHERMATT ESTATE" DEVELOPMENT URDORF

We are pleased to have won 1st prize in the “Weihermatt Estate” competition in Urdorf. GEWOBAG (Gewerkschaftliche Wohn- und Baugenossenschaft) and wsgz (Wohn- und Siedlungsgenossenschaft Zürich) are jointly developing around 250 flats at this location.

1st prize new development «KAEPSELE» Stuttgart

The multi-stage dialogical award procedure for the redevelopment of the Goldäcker site in Leinfelden-Echterdingen has been decided. We are delighted that our design for the development of Baufeld Süd was awarded 1st prize. By the International Building Exhibition IBA’27, around 180 flats built to the highest ecological standards are to be completed on the western edge of Echterdingen.

Visit to new replacement buildings Lacheren

On 4 March 2023, we invited guests to view the new Lacheren replacement buildings in Schlieren. The 36 flats for Gemeinnützige Baugenossenschaft Limmattal will be occupied from mid-March. The project is distinguished by a novel energy system that exclusively uses locally available and CO2-free energy sources. Photovoltaic modules on the roofs and facades generate electricity for the estate.

TOPPING-OUT CEREMONY AT WYDÄCKERRING

At the end of January 2023, we celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the Wydäckerring residential development. Planning work on the project for the CS Investment Foundation and HIG started in 2017. The approximately 200 flats will be ready for occupancy from summer 2023.

1ST PRIZE BEIERSDORF WERK 1 HAMBURG

We won the competition for the Beiersdorf Werk 1 urban quarter in Hamburg’s Eimsbüttel district. We are very happy about winning first prize! On the 3.4-hectare site of the current company headquarters, a residential quarter with a wide range of contemporary housing typologies and a diverse mix of uses is to be created.

2ND PRIZE MELTINGPORT HAFENCITY

We won 2nd prize in the “Meltingport, HafenCity Hamburg” competition. A new meeting place for work, living and housing is planned on building plots 103/104. We congratulate Winking Froh Architekten on their winning project.

1ST PRIZE HOPFENMARKT HAMBURG

Together with Treibhaus Landschaftsarchitektur, we are delighted to have won first prize in the Hopfenmarkt competition in Hamburg. The central element of the redesign for the square is an exhibition building serving as access to an archaeological excavation of the five-metre-high rampart of the Neue Burg (New Castle) dating back to 1021, which has yet to be carried out.

VISIT TO THE GLASI QUARTER

After a construction period of three years, we were able to open five of the 21 buildings on the Glasi site in Bülach for viewing on 10 September 2022. The first buildings are already occupied, while others are still under construction. We are pleased to see how the neighbourhood is slowly coming to life.

CONSTRUCTION SITE PARTY MARSILIUSSTRASSE COLOGNE

On 23 August, we invited to the construction site party at Marsiliusstrasse in Cologne. Around 55 flats are being built for the Wohnungsgenossenschaft Köln-Sülz eG, which will be ready for occupancy at the end of 2022 / beginning of 2023. The mix of flats ranges from those for older people and families to small flats for couples and singles, and is complemented by communal spaces.

TOUCH WOOD – EXHIBITION AT ZAZ BELLERIVE ZURICH

Wood spreads a spirit of optimism. Some of the most interesting debates about the future are being conducted around the material in architecture and urban planning. Whether it’s about CO2 emissions, the technological development, changes in urban landscapes or our relationship with nature. Duplex Architekten participates with the Pi high-rise project. The exhibition is on display until 30 October.

CRAFTSMAN'S LUNCH AT LACHEREN ESTATE

We celebrated the topping-out ceremony of the new Lacheren housing estate with a craftsman’s lunch. 36 flats are being built here for Gemeinnützige Baugenossenschaft Limmattal. Occupancy is planned for spring 2023.
