Our office hike in the Fryberg Glarus was filled with surprises. Over hill and dale, the path led us to several culinary highlights and other presentations. Being caringly treated in the middle of the forest was a great experience!
«City Gate II» Petit île, Brüssel
Together with the MULTIPLE team from Brussels in cooperation with Andreas Hofer, pool as well as LIST, COLOCO, AAA, USES & SPACES et COSMOPOLIS, we were selected to take part in the “City Gate II” competition in Brussels. The project comprises the construction of approx. 400 apartments, two schools, and approx. 15,000 m2 of commercial and service space.
15th Zurich Architects' Football Tournament
The 15th Zurich Architects’ Football Tournament took place on the “Sonnau” sports field in Wollishofen on 7 July. 30 teams participated. The tournament has been organised by Architekturforum Zürich since 2004. This year’s coveted challenge cup goes to Allco AG, Zurich.
Topping out ceremony Residential Development Limmatfeld
On 29 June, we celebrated the topping out ceremony at the Limmatfeld residential development in Dietikon. The project extends over two neighboring building sites of Hans Kollhoff’s master plan and is being developed by the developers Baugenossenschaft BEP and Sammelstiftung NEST. The occupancy of the apartments is scheduled for autumn 2019.
DAM Award »Homes for all«
More than 100 architects from Germany and abroad took part in the architecture award “Housing for all” initiated by the DAM. We are pleased to be one of the 10 prize winners who qualified for the concept procedure for the development of the Hilgenfeld in the northwest of Frankfurt, which will start in May 2018.
Topping out Ceremony Student Accommodation Basel
On 22 March, the topping out ceremony took place at our construction site in Basel. The student residence is located on the area formerly used as a freight station, where the Erlenmatt quarter is currently under construction. The house joins the line of new buildings along Signalstrasse. Students will move into the facility as of 2019.
Visit to the Buchegg Estate
The Buchegg estate is completed. Before the houses are occupied in mid-March 2018, we invited to a tour of the new building on 3 March. 110 apartments have been built, almost half of them 4.5 room apartments for families. The Buchegg estate belongs to the Waidberg building cooperative.
The new Gartenfeld, Berlin
In the Gartenfeld planning area, a mixed city district with an urban living quality for approx. 10,000 residents is to be developed against the historical architectural background. The rules and regulations of Duplex Architekten in cooperation with Bartscher Architekten are recommended for implementation.
1st Prize Baffa Rivolta Award
The Matilde Baffa Ugo Rivolta European Architecture Award honours pioneering European projects in the field of affordable and social housing. We were awarded first prize for House A at the Hunziker Areal and are pleased about this honour.
Merry Christmas Season...
Our new building at Bucheggplatz has a surprise in store every day in December. Until Christmas, 24 windows are shining in the façade and are already enlivening the building. In addition, starting today, December 5th, you can buy something small to eat and drink in KUMO6’s red container. Open until 7 p.m. So, it’s worth stopping by the Bucheggplatz.
1st Prize Project Competition New Replacement Building "Lacheren"
We are delighted about the 1st prize in the “Lacheren” replacement building competition in Schlieren. The competition was organised by the non-profit building cooperative Limmattal (GBL). The residential buildings providing 35 apartments feature residential typologies with versatile floor plans and innovative materials. Construction is expected to start in spring 2019.
Exposição "Poder Arquitectura"
The opening exhibition of Casa da Arquitectura in Matosinhos, Portugal presents 40 projects from all over the world under the title of “Power Architecture”, among them our Cluster House A from the “More than Living” project. The exhibition is open from November 18, 2017 to March 18, 2018.
